IPL 2022: Yatra Pratibha Avsara Prapnotihi

IPL or Indian Premier League is a Twenty20 cricket league contested by ten teams. The ten teams are basically from ten cities in India. IPL was started by the BCCI( Board of Control for Cricket in India). IPL started with the message to promote cricket and nurture the young and talented players of all the teams. In this league, the players from all the teams play together while contesting from different cities. The most-attended cricket league was started in 2008 after India won the first edition of the World T20 after a thrilling match against Pakistan. In celebration of this victory on 13th September, 2007 BCCI announced a franchise-based Twenty20 cricket competition called IPL. It began with a distinguished ceremony in New Delhi. IPL commenced on 18th April 2008 and since then it has been one of the most viewed sports activities by not only Indians but all over the globe. IPL gives players a good chance to learn tips and tricks from celebrated players all across the globe. It also serves as a benefit to the senior players to make a comeback. It also serves as a benefit to the GDP of the country. Not only for the players and game, the IPL has significantly contributed to tourism and has also created a lots of job opportunities as well.

The Indian Premier League has been widely appreciated all around the globe because players from different countries come to India and participate in teams formulated by different states. It attracts a lot of audiences because it’s the platform where glamour meets cricket. Shahrukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Preity Zinta, and many other well known faces have audiences glued to their screens during IPL. International cricket stars like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, David Warner, Chris Morris, and many other strong players are involved with IPL

In year 2021 due to COVID 19 pandemic in India, the IPL was shifted to UAE (United Arab Emirates). It was played behind closed doors and 29 matches were played which decided Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as the winner.

IPL 2022 mega auction was truly an extravaganza, as 10 teams fought it out for 204 players who were bought for a combined price of INR 550 crore. The IPL auction of 2022 was the highest bided auction in the history of IPL. ISHAN KISHAN came out as the most expensive player at this auction. Mumbai Indians splashed 15.25 crores for the young player. AVESH KHAN had 62 bids and 5 teams were bidding for him. Chennai Super Kings came up as the highest bidding team. This year two new teams have been introduced to the league – LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS and GUJRAT TITANS. The other regular teams that are participating in IPL 2022 are CHENNAI SUPER KINGS, DELHI CAPITALS, PUNJAB KINGS, KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS, MUMBAI INDIANS, ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE, SUNRISERS HYDERABAD & RAJASTHAN ROYALS.

There will be 74 matches in this year’s IPL to decide the winner of the season. The title sponsor of IPL 2022 is TATA GROUP. This is the first time that TATA group is sponsoring a cricket event.

The venues of the 15th Edition of the Indian Premier League are Wankhede Stadium Mumbai, M.A.Chidambaram Chepauk Stadium Chennai, Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad, Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium Delhi, M.Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru, Eden Gardens Kolkata, and BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium Lucknow.
