Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday’s film Dream Girl 2 postponed recently due to VFX related problems. So, fans of Dream Girl 2 will need to wait a little longer. To point out, the film, which was originally planned to release in theaters on July 7, has been now delayed. Not to mention, the film now has a new release date of August 25, 2023. According to recent reports, the extensive VFX work required for the movie is the cause of the delay. Ayushmann Khurrana as well as Ananya Panday will appear in the Dream Girl sequel. In Dream Girl 2, Ayushmann will play both Karam and a young girl named Pooja.
Reasons Behind The Movie Delay
According to the latest reports, the main reason for the delay is the extensive VFX work required for the film. In other words, the VFX work for Dream Girl 2 is essential because Ayushmann Khurrana portrays Pooja and Karam in the movie. Additionally, the crew is making every effort to ensure that the actor looks natural and convincing as Pooja. That is why Dream Girl 2 postponed from its primary date of July 7, 2023, to August 25, 2023.
Producer Ekta Kapoor’s Response
Ekta Kapoor, the co-managing director of Balaji Telefilms Limited, commented on the choice, saying, “We want Ayushmann Khurrana’s character, Pooja, to look flawless in Dream Girl 2, so we’re putting in extra effort to perfect the VFX work for the face. Also, we want to make sure that our viewers have a wonderful experience while watching the film. Dream Girl 2’s visual effects are an important part of the film, and we want to make sure that our audience receives a first-rate product.”

Dream Girl 2 follows the journey of Karam (Ayushmann Khurrana), a small-town boy attempting to live a serious life in Mathura. He falls in love with Pari (portrayed by Ananya Panday), but life is adamant about ignoring him. In an unexpected turn of events, Karam transforms into Pooja, further complicating his already chaotic life. Besides that, the film is written and directed by Raaj Shaandilya and produced by Ekta R.
