ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 mission

As per Chandrayaan 3 Launch Live Update, ISRO’s Chandrayaan 3 mission launched from Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Center at 2:35 p.m. IST on July 14. Besides that, the mission is a follow-up to Chandrayaan-2, which aims to demonstrate a number of capabilities, including entering lunar orbit. Likewise, this includes a lander soft-landing on the lunar surface and a rover emerging from the lander to study the moon’s surface. About Chandrayaan 3 Mission

If the ISRO Chandrayaan 3 mission gets completed, it will join USA, the former Soviet Union, and most recently China as the only four nations to have accomplished a soft landing on the moon. Before making a successful Moon landing, both the US and the USSR destroyed numerous spacecraft. China, in fact, was the sole country to complete its first mission, the Chang’e-3 mission, in 2013.

The latest Chandrayaan 3 update is that After a successful launch from Earth, the spacecraft is currently orbiting the planet on its way to the Moon. According to P Veeramuthuvel, project director, the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft has several significant activities planned, including maneuvers that will bring it close to Earth. This also includes insertion into the lunar orbit, separation of the lander, a set of deboost maneuvers, and a power descent phase for a soft landing.

Chandrayaan-3 will transport a lander (Vikram) and a rover (Pragyan) to the lunar surface to conduct scientific experiments. Besides that, for faster landings, the lander’s legs have reinforced compared to its previous design. In fact, Vikram has four payloads, and Pragyan has two payloads that will get used to study lunar characteristics.

ISRO Previous Mission Chandrayaan 2

Chandrayaan-2, the second series of India’s lunar mission, was originally launched in 2019. However, it was unable to make the desired soft landing on the Moon’s surface. The lander lost contact with the ground stations at a distance of 2.1 km from the Moon’s surface, which led ISRO’s 978 crore unmanned mission to fail in its goal. Now the present mission Chandrayaan 3 launch date and time is Friday, July 14, at 2:35 p.m.

The mission will carry the “hopes and dreams of India,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted this morning while currently in France. For more information on the Chandrayaan 3 update and other breaking news from India and around the world, keep checking ScoopDose.
