In natural disasters and perilous situations like cyclones, some bravery acts can prove to be life-saviours. The recent news and video of a woman carrying an elderly person on her back set the ideal example of courageousness and heroism during devastating circumstances like Cyclone.
Captured on camera, both the ladies are seen seeking shelter when Cyclone Dana in Odisha hits all of a sudden.
The video shows humanity at its best and how difficult it is for a woman to walk on a muddy path with an old lady on her back. PIB in Odisha shared the news and video on their official page and appreciated ASHA worker Sibani Mandal from Khasmunda village of Rajnagar Block who saved the life of an elderly woman by carrying her on her shoulder to a safe and secure place.
As it contains a bravery act and shows how helpful modern women are, the video went viral and gained immense popularity within seconds.
As the name Asha implies hope, Asha workers received the Global Health Leader Award in the year 2022. Asha workers are accredited social health professionals who dedicatedly work for the public health system and undergo rigorous training to help others in times of natural calamities, emergencies, and unforeseen situations.
With great courage, they leave no stone unturned in safeguarding the lives of people who come across any life-threatening or dangerous situation. Their primary roles include guiding people on balanced diets, sanitation, and healthy living. Also, they make others familiar with the ill-effects of communicable diseases, tuberculosis, and overlooked tropical diseases.
Their never give-up attitude with positive mindsets inspires everyone to live for others and lend a hand of support and care in their time of need. The video teaches a lesson and opens the eyes of people who think that life is to live only for them and not for others.
