The XUV400’s design draws inspiration from the XUV300, showcased in the 2020 auto expo. This Mahindra EV is similar to its ICE sibling. However, it can be differentiated with arrow-shaped inserts, closed-off grille and copper colored accents all around. Additional boot space can be another interesting feature it could offer.

All black interior will replace the traditional setup with Mahindra’s AdrenoX software for touchscreen. Power of EV is 150hp, 310 Nm electric motor paired with 39.4kWh battery pack. It has a top speed of 150kph and the claimed range is 450km. The price estimation is around Rs18-20 lakhs.

Audi Q8 e-tron

It is a five seater luxury SUV by Audi and a mid-life update to its e-tron electric SUV. In the international markets, it will come with 3 trims namely- e-tron 50, e-tron 55, and e-tron S.

Interestingly, the SUV will be available in three AWD powertrain choices – an 89kWh dual motor setup, a 106kWh dual motor unit, and 106kWh triple motor setup. Features list of e-tron consists of triple screen setup, four-zone climate control, power-adjustable and ventilated seats along with a panoramic glass roof. Citroen EC3

Mini EV

BMW’S Chinese joint venture partner – Great Wall Motors is manufacturing this EV. This model will come with an increased space, significantly bigger battery which will be a bit smaller in size than the outgoing one.

Skoda Enyaq IV

Volvo EX90

The EX90 is the third EV by Volvo, but with better design and an increased interior space. Volvo claims that it is the safest car they have ever built, majorly focusing on hardware as well as software features such as cameras and radars.

Features include- T-shaped LED lights, flush door handles, large glasshouse similar to the XC90. A twin-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain with two levels of output will make EX90 a great option for driving enthusiasts. The e-motors are paired to 111kWh battery with a claiming range up to 600 km.

Volvo C40 Recharge

It will be the second among EV cars in India 2023 model from Volvo and a coupe SUV version of XC40 Recharge. In India, it will come with a 75kWh battery claiming the range of 433 km and won’t have an ICE counterpart. The difference between XC40 and C40 will be of the sloping roofline on the latter and different tail lamps. Price of this vehicle would be around Rs 60 lakhs.

Volkswagen ID.4

ID.4 is going to be Volkswagen’s first EV in India. It’s based on the MEB electric platform and with this, India will get a high-performance ID.4 GTX model using a motor on each axle. The top speed will be limited to 180 kph and the car can reach 0-100kph in merely 6.2 seconds. The claimed range is 480 km and it’ll be coming in mid-2023 with a price range of Rs 50-65 lakh.
